The Making of Coraline

Here to share the movie we watched last week, the Making of Coraline!

Neil Gaiman is the original author of Coraline, & Henry Selick is the director. Produced by Laika. I just think this is the few names we shall try to remember, as an animator.

& check this article that I found from CG Talk.com, regarding to the making of Coraline. It basically talk about how's CG & 3d printing that made this film so well done! pls click here!

Personally this type of story is just not my preference, esp after i watched the trailer, i feel it's so creepy & disturbing- not attracting me to watch it. But like everyone else, whoever watched it like this film, it's awesome! not to mention the smoothness of the animation as in stop motion, the story has been well told as well.

There few shots like the needle facing to the camera, a big eye sneaking through a hole, such disturbing shots that create visual impact (or break the rules of cinematography) to the audience is something new, I love it!

feel free to share your thoughts here!
